Man shot in paramilitary attack in Derry

A man’s been has been shot in both legs in a paramilitary attack in the Brandywell area of Derry.
At around 10 o’clock last night, two men entered a house in Kerrigan Close and shot the man who is in his 20s.
He is being treated at Altnagelvin Hospital, where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police have issued an appeal for information.
Condemning the shooting, local councillor Patricia Logue said “we are creating a new society for the younger generation and there can be no place for this type of activity”.
