Detectives in Omagh investigate armed robbery at Mellon Country Hotel

Police in Tyrone are appealing for information after a hotel was robbed by an armed gang.
Three men, one armed with what’s believed to have been a shotgun entered the Mellon Country Hotel between Omagh and Newtownstewart at around 5 o’clock yesterday morning.
They ordered a member of staff to hand over cash before making their getaway.
Police are appealing for information, and say they want to speak to anyone who was travelling along the Beltany Road between 4.30 am and 5.30 yesterday morning.and saw anyone acting suspiciously.
Detectives in Omagh are particularly anxious to hear from anyone witnessed any vehicles making off at speed at around that time.
