Man fails in attempted robbery of grocery store in Newtowncunningham

A man armed with a large Knife entered a Grocer shop on main street Newtowncunningham in and around 4pm this evening.
But luckily the man failed in his attempted robbery of Gerard McDaids grocers in the village.
The attempted robbery is the fouth of its type in the past week.
