All but one of Donegal’s TDs vote in favour of Abortion Bill in first vote

The Committee stage of the abortion legislation will continue today with the contentious suicide clause to be discussed.
Last night, the Health Minister ruled out extending the legislation to cover fatal foetal abnormalities.
After the Government won the first vote in the Dáil it went straight into committee.
All Donegal TDs voted in favour of the Bill with the exception of Fianna Fail Deputy Charlie McConalogue.
The early amendments wanted the inclusion of fatal foetal abnormality in the legislation but the minister said he could not do so on the advice of the attorney general.
There was also a debate on term limits on terminations, but the Health minister said people were wrongly interpreting the legislation:
