‘Homeless’ rate in Derry City hits a record high

The number of people presenting themselves as homeless in Derry City stands at 2,200 – the highest rate in 20 years.
In total, there are 3,311 people on the waiting list for Social Housing in the City.
Sinn Féin Housing spokesperson Councillor Tony Hassan has said the current figures are concerning and show an upward trend which needs to be tackled.
