72 per-cent of Irish people believe the Garda presence on the roads has reduced since last year, according to a new survey published today.
A poll of 20,000 motorists by the AA shows that many people believe there are less Gardai on the roads and a further 40 per cent don’t think road safety is a priority.
The AA is calling on the Government to make sure adequate resources are provided to Gardai to ensure the road safety strategy is not allowed to drift down the priority list.
