“We got it wrong with SUSI” – Quinn tells Mc Conalogue

Education Minister Ruari Quinn has admitted mistakes were made when the SUSI system was introduced to process student grants.
He was being questioned in the Dail about the centralised system for the payment of third level grants last year.
SUSI – Or Student Universal Support Ireland – was marred by months of delays in issuing grants.

Mnister Quinn was responding to questions from Donegal TD and Fianna Fail Education Spokesperson Charlie Mc Conalogue.
Speaking to Highland Radio News after he left the chamber, Deputy Mc Conalogue said he’ll be closely monitoring the situation this year, and will be pressing the minister to live up to his commitment that there will not be a repeat of last year’s mistakes……………
