One Big Weekend set to rock Derry

Some of the biggest names in music will be performing in Derry this weekend as the ‘One Big Weekend’ gets underway this afternoon.
Over 40,000 music fans will descend upon the city between now at Sunday night.
Calvin Harris, Biffy Clyro, The Script, Bruno Mars and Ollie Murs are just a few of the names who will perform over the next three days.
And for anyone set to travel to Derry over the weekend, there are extra rail and buses services being provided.
The concert ends at midnight tonight and 11pm on Saturday and Sunday. Additional late night rail and bus services are being provided. Full details can be got on the translink website.
The public are also advised that there will be restrictions in place for pedestrians and motorists over the weekend.
The Peace Bridge will close from 09.15 am on Friday 24 May until 8 am on Monday 27 May.
The Limavady Road will also close on the evenings of Friday 24th – Sunday 26th May, while there will be no vehicle access to St Columb’s Road throughout the event.
