Future of Carndonagh Community Hospital raised in the Dail

Health Minister James Reilly is being asked to give assurances about the future of Carndonagh Community Hospital.
Three weeks ago the HSE confirmed that four beds were being closed at the Hospital as a result of staffing pressures but insisted the move was temporary.
But three weeks on, the beds remain closed.

Responding on behalf of the Health Minister, Junior Minister Kathleen Lynch said that if the Haddington Road agreement which replaced Croke Park II is passed, then this would help the issue of staff shortages, which led to bed closures:
