UK Police force to publish report on Savile investigation

In Britain West Yorkshire Police say they have found no evidence that the force protected Jimmy Savile from arrest or investigation.
Officers used to attend his ‘Friday morning club’ at his flat in Leeds.
A report out this morning finds the friendships of the disgraced star with senior officers did not cloud their judgment.
Assistant Chief Constable Ingrid Lee says there is nothing untoward about the coffee mornings.
“Officers at the time were encouraged to engage with members of the public – it would be a group of individuals having coffee and discussing current affairs” she said.
“We can find nothing that suggest any impropriety or unprofessional behaviour in relation to the police officers that attended” she added.
