Septic tank waste most likely cause of west Donegal swan deaths

Investigators believe that the disposal of  septic tank waste  may have been responsible for the death of three dozens swans in west Donegal in recent days.
32 swans were found dead at the weekend at the New Lake in Dunganaghy, three more were found thirty miles away in a lake in mullaghduff yesterday.
Water samples have been taken from the area for examination as part of the investigation.
Pat Warner of the National Parks and Wildlife service told Highland Radio’s Shaun Doherty Show that while it is early in the investigation, a single poisoning event seems to be the most likely cause of the swans death:
