Updated: Further arrests in connection with Derry petrol bomb attack

A 20 year old man has been arrested in the Derry area in connection with a petrol bombing incident in the Ben Varden Avenue area on the evening of Friday evening which left a 45 year old man seriously injured.
Two males aged 24 & 25, and a female aged 44 have previously been arrested. All four remain in custody helping police with their enquiries
At 11.10pm on Friday , two male youths smashed a window of a house and threw a lit petrol bomb into it.
The petrol bomb struck 45 year old Thomas Curry who was in the house at the time.
Two neighbours responded and rescued him from the house.
He was then taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which were initially thought to be life threatening.
His condition is currently described as serious but stable.
The two male youths were dressed in grey hooded tops and had scarfs over their faces. It is believed that they made off in the direction of Dervock Place.
