Council disconnecting non-domestic water defaulters who “fail to engage”

Donegal County Council have confirmed they have been and will be continuing to disconnect non-domestic water supplies to customers in arrears and who have not engaged with them.
20 disconnections have taken place on non domestic water supplies in recent weeks, and Donegal County Council says at least 60 more will follow.
The most recent disconnections took place in Letterkenny and Ardara with more disconnections planned for areas within the Letterkenny, Inishowen, Donegal, Glenties and Stranorlar Electoral Areas in the coming weeks.
Donegal County Council says these measures become necessary when customers do not engage proactively and meaningfully with the Council in relation to outstanding charges on their account.
The Council encourages and appeals to all customers in arrears to contact them at (074) 9153900.
