Former Junior Minister Ivor Callely sent forward for trial to the Circuit Court

Former Junior Minister and Fianna Fáil TD Ivor Callely has been sent forward for trial to the Circuit Court.
The 54-year-old – who is accused of making false mobile phone expense claims at Leinster House – appeared before the District Court earlier today.
He’s facing six charges under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act of making bogus mobile phone expenses claims while a member of the Seanad.
The alleged offences took place on dates between November 2007 and December of 2009.
He’ll appear before the Circuit Court on May 15th.
