Deputy McConalogue calls for plan to attract new employers to Donegal

charlieThe Dail has heard calls for a specific plan to be put in place to attract new employers to Donegal.
The issue was raised by Donegal Deputy Charlie McConalogue who again was critical of the IDA pointing out that, last year, only 1 out of 88 national IDA site visits throughout the country came to Donegal.
He told the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation that the IDA is under-investing in the county:


brutonResponding, the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said that there had been a 20% increase in employment in IDA backed companies in Donegal in recent years.
He did however says the IDA will be reviewing its jobs creation strategy into the future:
