More overnight gorse fires in West Donegal and Inishowen

Fire crews from the west of the county had yet another busy night battling gorse fires in the Gortahork and Falcarragh areas.
The Dungloe fire crew attended a gorse fire between Gweedore and Gortahork before midnight.
Crews from Gweedore and Falcarragh spent several hours dealing with a fire at Derryreel outside Falcarragh. The fire burned beside the forestry in that area and staff from Coillte were also on the scene.
Crews from Buncranna were also dealing with a gorse fire in the Fahan area late last night and into the early morning.
The fire was brought under control around 1am. Fire crews were assisted by local people.
These latest fires bring to just under 100 call outs for the county’s fire crews in little over a week.
