The Northern Ireland assembly agriculture committee has held an emergency meeting to assess the damage caused to farmers hit by the severe weather.
A number of areas in the North have been particularly badly affected by snow drifts.
West Tyrone MLA, Joe Byrne visited a number of farmers in the Glenelly Valley area of his constituency yesterday.
He says they are facing an unprecedented crisis, and financial assisstance must be found from somewhere…..
