Two in court in connection with Falcarragh assault

Two people, both from west Donegal, appeared in court in Letterkenny today on charges relating to an assault in Falcarragh on St Patrick’s night which has left a local man in a critical condition.
20 year old Stephen O’Donnell from Cnoc Fola, Brinaleck, Gweedore and a juvenile, were arrested yesterday by Gardai investigating an assault on 47 year-old Patrick McLaughlin on Falcarragh’s Main Street in the early hours Monday morning.
Mr McLaughlin was struck once and suffered a severe head injury  – he remains in a critical condition in Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital
