The Good and New Charity Shop in Letterkenny, which runs a regular self funded bus service to Galway for cancer patients, says it does not have the money to run the service for any more than six weeks.
Interest in the service has grown since it was profiled in the Irish Times at the weekend, but spokesperson Eamon Mc Devitt says in the absence of funding from either the HSE or the Irish Cancer Society, it’s a struggle to keep the service going.
He says at present, the service is running on a hand to mouth basis, supported by donations from the people of Donegal………
