Suspicious object discovered outside Derry house

Police are appealing for information following the discovery of a suspicious object outside a house in the Hollymount Park area of Derry this morning, Saturday 02 March.
It was reported to Police shortly after 8.15am and a number of homes were evacuated while ATO examined the object which was later declared to be a crude viable explosive device.
Police would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact Detectives at Strand Road CID on 0845 600 8000.
