Arson attack at controversial Ballyshannon house

There has been a suspected arson attack at a controversial house in Ballyshannon.
Members of the fire service were called to the scene of a house fire in the Parkhill area shortly before 3am this morning.
The house in question has been the root of much controversy in the town, as Donegal County Council recently purchased it at a price of €230,000 for the purposes of social housing.
The premises were purchased for the purposes of traveller accomodation, at the time Cllr Sean McEniff said he was against the traveller family getting the house, and he said travellers should live in isolation.
Cllr mcEniff refused to comment this morning.
