Omagh lorry driver extradited to Donegal over sexual assault allegations

A Co Tyrone lorry driver wanted in Donegal over sexual assault allegations has been extradited from the North to the Republic.

42-year-old Roy David Cochrane was arrested in Omagh last month.

The 42-year-old, of Loughmuck Road, Omagh, his alleged to have attacked a girl in Donegal.

Cochrane denies the charges and at a court appearance last month it was claimed that he left Donegal to move back home to Omagh before the girl made a complaint to gardai.

His solicitor said he is very much prepared to face the allegations made against him, which he denies vigorously and robustly.
