GAA – McGuinness Looking For Good Performance

It’s the opening weekend of the National Football League and Donegal Manager Jim Mc Guinness has made his intentions pretty clear ahead of Saturday’s game against Kildare.
Jim is happy to be back playing football and is looking for his players to put in a good performance at Croke Park, be it on the right or wrong end of the result.
13 of the starting side from last years All Ireland Final will take to the field against Kieran Mc Geeney’s team with Footballer of the Year Karl Lacey and All Star midfielder Neil Gallagher missing out. Lacey is recovering from hip surgery while Gallagher is struggling with a groin injury.
Malin’s Declan Walsh and Martin Mc Elhinney of St. Michael’s have being given the chance to make their mark in the half back line and midfield.
Saturday’s match will be the first competitive game for this group of players since Donegal’s win last September.
Jim Mc Guinness says he will be using the league to experiment and build towards the championship opener against Tyrone in May…
