Mc Gowan claims party meetings with senior garda undermine the JPC

The Chairperson of the Joint Policing Committee in Donegal says the practice of political parties meeting with senior gardai is undermining the committee’s work.
In recent months Sinn Fein and Fianna Fail have met with senior officers, and this afternoon, Fine Gael has been meeting with Chief Superintendent Terry Mc Ginn.
However, Fianna Fail Cllr Patrick Mc Gowan, Chair of the Joint Policing Committee in Donegal says the committee has been given a very specific brief, but he fears it’s not being taken seriously as a result of these meetings…..
