A man injured while out walking in South Donegal yesterday afternoon has been rescued following a 12-hour operation.
The 28-year-old was taken from the cliff face at Slieve League by the

He had slipped and fell 500 feet injuring his neck and knee just after 1 pm yesterday.
The man was taken to Sligo General Hospital – but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The Sligo-based rescue helicopter had attempted to airlift the man to safety but were unable, due to the poor weather conditions.
