High Winds: Motorists urged to take care – power returned to most homes

ESB crews say they’re working quickly to restore power homes after many lost supply as a result stormy conditions overnight.
Most of the homes in Donegal which lost power due to the high winds have now had their supply restored.
These include 88 homes which lost power in the Gweedore area last night.
Since 10 o’clock this morning 32 homes are  without power Creeslough – the ESB says it hopes to have power returned by mid afternoon (Saturday).
Meanwhile, motorists are being urged to take care on the roads in case they may come across any debris from the strong winds overnight.
The Road Safety Authority says this Christmas was one of the safest on our roads in recent years – in terms of road deaths.
However, spokesperson for the group – Brian Farrell says it’s up to every individual driver to ensure he or she doesn’t become complacent:
