It’s been confirmed £50 million of the budget for the planned A5 upgrade has been ringfenced at Stormont pending a legal challenge.
Asking questions about the issue last week, West Tyrone MLA Declan Mc Aleer was told the assurance was given to the Finance Minister by the Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
Mr Mc Aleer says with the full hearing of the challenge scheduled to take place between 12th and 14th February, the construction industry and the public will be watching closely, and he’s hopeful work can start shortly thereafter………….
