Armed robbery at post office in Burt

A cross border investigation has been launched following an armed robbery of a post office in Burt.
At around11.30am this morning two armed and masked men entered the post office in Speenogue, threatened staff and demanding money.
At least one of the men was carrying a suspected hand gun.
They escaped in the Bridgend direction in a light red saloon type car which bore a Taxi plate.
No one was physically injured in the robbery.
