Brogan wants council to liaise more with the tourism industry

Donegal Councillor Ciaran Brogan says it's vital that the council reach out to tourism businesses and service providers ahead of The Gathering next year.

He says while it has traditionally been very proactive, one area in which the council may be falling down is by not interacting enough with the trade. It's important, Cllr Brogan says, that the council liaises with business people and service providers to ensure maximum benefit from the Gathering.

There is huge potential to replicate the success of Glenveagh and Sliabh League in other areas he says, and Cllr Brogan believes Gathering can be the catalyst to ensure that everyone talks to everyone else........
