PSNI appeal for information after creeper burglary

Police in Derry are appealing for information after a car was stolen from the Ivy Terrace area following a creeper burglary at the weekend. The appeal comes as the SDLP express concern at what the party says is a spate of such burglaries in recent weeks.
Police in the city say that sometime between 11 o’clock on Friday night and 1 o’clock on Saturday morning, a house was entered and car keys, handbag, cash and alcohol were stolen.
A red coloured Vauxhall Omega car, registration X457 HAB that was parked outside was stolen. It is believed the car headed along the Letterkenny Road in the direction of Donegal.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the vehicle or has any information to contact them.
Meanwhile, police in Derry and Strabane have launched Operation Season’s Greetings, saying they’ll be taking steps to keep local people safe in their homes, safe on the roads and safe when they’re out socialising over Christmas.
Patrols will be increased in key areas, and people are being urged to be vigilant.
