Sinn Fein says proposals to cut child benefit by ten euro in the budget would amount to taking clothes off the backs of children.
The party has today published legislation for a wealth tax on assets worth over a million euro.
It wants the government to shift the burden of austerity away from low an middle income families, on to high earners.
And it says it will oppose plans to cut child benefit - the details of which are leaked in today's Irish Independent.
