Calls have been made for a footpath and cycle path to be introduced on the road from the Mountain Top in Letterkenny leading to Illistrin National School.
There are currently 400 students at the school, with an application in place for extra students.
And when a survey was recently circulated on whether or not students would cycle or walk to school if given the opportunity, the majority of students said they would.
