Oireachtas members meet IDA to discuss lack of site visits

Donegal North East Deputy Padraig Mac Lochlainn says while he has no issues with the IDA personnel on the ground in the North West, he has serious issues with the leadership of the authority and the Enterprise MInister.
He was speaking after Oireachtas members met with the authority at the weekend to discuss the fact that there have been no site visits in Donegal this year. It’s planned to have a number of such meetings annually from now on.
Among the items on the agenda were how the IDA can work more closely with Enterprise Ireland, County Enterprise Boards and other agencies.
The meeting was initially sought by Deputy Joe Mc Hugh, who is seeking a united approach to promote the county.
Deputy Mac Lochlainn says he has no problem with a joint political approach, but he will continue to highlight the shortcomings as he sees them……….
