Strabane Courthouse to remain opened after threatened closure

Strabane Courthouse is to remain opened for the foreseeable future.
The Justice Minister in the North, David Ford announced that four court facilities across Northern Ireland are to close, but Strabane is not one of them.
The courthouses in Bangor and Larne will be shut by next April with facilities in Magherafelt and Limavady to be closed a year later.
A decision on the future of Strabane courthouse will not be taken until a review of the Justice Department’s estate has been completed.
Strabane Cllr Karina Breslin says she is now confident that the courthouse will now remain open…..
