Donegal County Council has been urged to set a target of years end to award a contract for the construction of the Dungloe/Glenties sewage schemes.
5 tenders were returned by the due date of 08th November and have now been forwarded to the Councils consultants who will prepare the tender report for the contract.
Welcoming the progress, local Councillor Marie Therese Gallagher says if a deadline is set the awarding of a contract could take place early next year.
She says there should be no further delays and hopes work can start of the scheme in the first quarter next year:
