There are calls for Donegal County Council to ensure that road works be carried out in the evening or night time to lessen the negative impact on businesses.
Stranorlar Electoral Area Cllr Cora Harvey says that a business in her local area was forced to cease trading with most of the blame being attributed to road works disrupting its trade.
Cllr Harvey says the Council must contract road works to night time or quieter off peak traffic times if it is evident that businesses will be disrupted:
