Donegal Deputy Thomas Pringle calls for postponement in Children’s Referendum

Four Independent TDs are calling for emergency legislation to allow for the children’s referendum to be postponed.
It comes after the Supreme Court ruled that the government had spent public money putting out one-sided information.
The Tanaiste says the referendum will go ahead as normal.
The current law prevents a referendum from being delayed except if a general election is called.
But Donegal South-West Independent TD Thomas Pringle says the government should delay it by introducing emergency legislation today…..
