Mc Cartney criticises plan to hear benefit appeals in courthouse

Sinn Fein in Derry are calling for proper facilities to be provided for people appealing the rejection of Disability Benefits and other allowances after it emerged that appeals are now being heard in the courthouse on Bishops Street.

Foyle MLA Raymond Mc Cartney says previously, hearings have taken place in hotels and other neutral venues, and while they caused their own problems, making people go to the court is making an already difficult situation worse.........
