There have been fresh claims that some Donegal GPs are charging medical card holders for blood tests.
The issue’s been raised by Cllr Jack Murray, who says he hjasd received a number of complaints from people who were charged 10 euro for blood tests.
He says he received confirmation from Donegal’s Area Manager for the HSE that medical card holders are entitled to blood tests for free as part of a clinical investigation into their symptoms.
It’s the second time this issue has been raised in the past two years, in May of 2011, similar concerns were raised by Deputy Thomas Pringle.
Cllr Murray says this should be investigated by the HSE……………
