Councillor says voluntary housing agencies are cherry picking properties

A Donegal councillor is calling for a debate on the role of voluntary housing agencies, saying it is his fear that the agencies are cherry picking the best available houses in the county to manage.
Cllr Patrick Mc Gowan  was speaking as the council agreed to lease over four unsold affordable houses in Buncrana, Carndonagh and Donegal Town to a voluntary agency.
Cllr Mc Gowan claimed the agencies get government funding to maintain and manage their housing stock, while the council struggles with very limited resources.
