No fracking in Ireland until at least 2014

Commercial fracking is to remain banned in Ireland for at least another 15 months.
The Government’s decided that another study on possible side effects from the process is needed before issuing any licences in Ireland, and further European studies could mean no fracking here for a decade.
North West counties includfing Fermanagh, Leitrim and possibly Donegal were being lined up for potential fracking projects
However, Junior Minister Fergus O’Dowd told the Dáil that no fracking will take place in Ireland until at least 2014………..
