A Letterkenny Town Councillor says more people will end up sleeping on the streets if more council houses are not made available.
This weeks town council meeting was told that Donegal County Council will build just three new council houses over the next three years.
Raising the issue, Councillor Tadge Culbert says the demand for council houses is increasing as many people have lost their jobs and can no longer afford to pay their mortgage.
He says with the level of vacant property, or those under the control of NAMA, a housing shortage should not be an issue……….
