Consultant ‘concerned’ over staffing at Letterkenny General

A Senior Consultant at Letterkenny General Hospital has said there is concern over staffing levels at the facility.

Mr Micheal Sugrue was asked to comment on the news that the HSE  will not be renewing contracts of employment for 14 newly qualified nurses at Letterkenny General Hospital.

The INMO says this will lead to longer waits for treatment, more patients on trollies for longer and cancelled clinics.

Mr Sugrue says that while it was difficult for him to comment, it is a cause for concern:
