The Oireachtas Committee on Transport and Communications are to hold a hearing with the Irish Coast Guard at the end of the month on the Fisher Report.
The Fisher Report, released in July this year, cast doubt over the future of Malin Head and Valentia Coastguard Stations.
The decision to hold the hearing follows the circulation of a letter which was signed by all Donegal TDs and Senators in the Oireachtas in support for the retention of Malin Head Coatguard station.
But Fianna Fail Deputy Charlie McConalogue claims the Fine Gael Deputies in the county didn’t sign the letter….
However, Donegal Fine Gael Deputy, Joe McHugh, says his party made a separate representation to the Oireachtas Committee on Transport and Communications regarding Malin Head.
