House prices in Donegal still falling – daft.ie

House prices around the country are continuing to fall.
Daft-dot-i-e has released figures which show that asking prices dropped by over 3 per cent between July and September – down 14 per cent from the same period last year.
In Donegal, the average asking price was largely stable between June and September, falling by just 0.8%. The average price is now just over €137,000, a fall of 49% from the peak in 2007. This compares to a national average asking price of €167,000, down 54% from the peak.
Ronan Lyons is an economist with daft.iem, he says it’s still too early to talk about stability….
