Airfield owner praises Malin Head coordination after microlight crash

It’s reported today that the 22 year old man who was critically injured when his microlight plane went down yesterday is now out of danger.
The Buncrana based pilot was attempting to land at Ruskey Airfield between Convoy and Castlefin at around lunchtime yesterday when the plane crash landed.
John Kilpatrick, the owner of the airfield, says an Air Accident Investigation Unit has arrived at the scene and is examining the remains of the aircraft.
He praised the emergency services, and particularly the coordinating role played by Malin Head Coastguard Station.
