The Chairperson of the Alternative A5 Alliance has backed calls for any upgrade of the A5 to finish around Strabane, with the final leg of the improvements to be brought through Donegal.
John Dunbar says with most traffic on the route heading for the cityside of Derry, it seems impractical to bring the new dual carriageway to Newbuildings.
He says bringing the road through Donegal would seem to make more sense, particularly if a new bridge is needed………..
