Gardaí in Donegal are investigating a suspected hit and run.
It’s after the body of a man was found on the N15 road – close to Ballyshannon town.
At about twenty to one this morning the body of the man – aged in his 40s – was found on the carriageway of the N15 at Parkhill approximately 1 mile from Ballyshannon town.
A preliminary examination carried out at the scene suggests the man was struck by a passing motorist.
His body remains at the scene this morning – which has been preserved pending a technical and forensic examination.
The road is closed to traffic and diversions are in place.
