Around 50 people have taken part in a candlelight vigil outside Letterkenny General Hospital last night to mark the closure yesterday of the Gynae ward, and the transfer of the six specialist gynaecology beds to Surgical 2.
The vigil was led by Linda Cullen, who also organised last Saturday’s rally in the town centre.
She expressed regret that the participants in last night’s silent protest were not allowed into the hospital grounds, but said she is glad that the point is being made:
