The Mayor of Letterkenny has said that his preference would be for the reception to welcome home the Donegal Team remain in its traditional home of Donegal Town.
Donegal will take on Mayo in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship later this month but already the Letterkenny Chamber is reportedly pitching for the team to return to Letterkenny.
The issue is expected to be mentioned at a County Board Committee meeting this evening.
